Depression Severity

Depression symptom severity is based on the 9-item Patient Health Questionnaire modified for Adolescents (PHQ-A). Depression is a mood disorder with symptoms that can vary from mild to severe. It is characterized by feeling sad, down or having little interest in pleasurable activities for at least two weeks.

Anxiety

Anxiety symptom severity is based on the 7-item Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD-7) questionnaire. Anxiety is the feeling of nervousness, dread, fear, or uneasiness for most days over at least six months. It is often accompanied by a fast heart rate, rapid breathing, sweating, or trembling.
