Depression Severity

Depression severity is based on the 9-item Patient Health Questionnaire modified for adolescents (PHQ-A). Depression is a mood disorder with symptoms that can vary from mild to severe. It is characterized by feeling sad, down or having little interest in pleasurable activities for at least two weeks.

Anxiety

Anxiety severity is based on the 7-item Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD-7) Questionnaire. Anxiety is the feeling of nervousness, dread, fear, or uneasiness, that is often accompanied by a fast heart rate, rapid breathing, and sweating or trembling. The GAD-7 assesses how often one has been bothered by these feelings over the last two weeks.
