Bio

Lynnel Goodman, Ph.D., L.P., is the TX-YDSRN Director. She is an Assistant Professor in Psychiatry at the Center for Depression Research and Clinical Care at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. Goodman is a Licensed Psychologist in Texas and the Developer and Director of Activ8. Dr. Goodman is also a multiple principal investigator of a National Institutes of Health funded grant examining the effects of social media use on youth mental health. 

Dr. Goodman’s research focuses on the development and implementation of empirically supported treatments for youth mental illness. She is especially interested in identifying risk and resilience factors for young children and families that have been exposed to adverse and traumatic experiences.
